It's Saturday!

Some definitions of words that have to do with the Advent season!

Advent: a holy season of the Christian church, the period of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Christ, also known outside the Church as the season of Christmas.

Advent wreaths: a group of four candles that the church illuminates each week leading up to Christmas.

Well that's emough for the definitions part! I got kinda bored with that!

I figured I wish you guys a Happy New Year seeing that it's the last day of the Liturgical year and tomorrow is the first!

Sorry I had to shorten this up!

It's Friday!!!

It's Friday for the Second time!!! This weekend is going to be the start of the new liturgical year and the first week of Advent! I figured I'd talk about what I know about Advent!!! I found this magazine that's all about Advent and I'm going to share with you a little bit!

Things to Do With Your Family This Advent:
Make a Christmas puzzle!
Make a child's special Nativity set!
Have a Christmas karaoke night!
Walk with your family under the stars!
Wrap presents while praying for whoever the gift is for!
Make Luminaries with your Family!
Make a corner in your house the prayer corner!
Find some traditions people in other countries do during Advent!

There are 3 saints of the Season of Advent that no one really pays too much attention to!

St. Juan Diego whose Feast Day is December 9th.
St. Lucy whose Feast Day is December 13th.
St. John of the Cross whose Feast Day is December 14th.

You can search these Saints on google or ask.com.

I also decided to share an Advent Prayer for the first week of Advent!

Leader: The Lord is our faith and our life.
All: May the Lord's peace be with us all.
Leader: And His love shine in our hearts.
All: Our hope is in the coming of the Lord.
One purple candle is lit when all the family is gathered together!
Leader: Let us pray, that our faith may be strengthened for the coming of the Lord.
Pause for a silent prayer.
Leader: Father in heaven, our hears desire the wamth of your love and minds are searching for the light of your Word. Increase our longing for Christ our Savior and give us the strength to grow in our faith so that the day of His coming may find us prepared and filled with joy.
All: Amen.

It's Wednesday and you know what that means!!! Quotes from the Bible! These quotes are from Today's Responsirial Psalm!!!

"Give glory and eternal praise to him.
Sun and moon, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
Stars of heaven, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
Every shower and dew, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
All you winds, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
Fire and heat, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
Cold and chill, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever."

It's Monday...Again!

Here's a debatable question that I have been dying to ask you guys!

What do you think about having women priests? Do you think it's morally correct or not? People say priests are supposed to be in the image of Jesus, what do you think?

Tell me what you guys think! I was supposed to tell you guys what comment was the best but all comments were really good! I couldn't decide what comment to feature so I figured you guys should just check out last week's posts!

Just to let you guys know I am definately Pro-Life and if you want to convince me otherwise, you can try but it's not gonna work!

It's Sunday!

It's Sunday and I decided that Sunday's going to be my day off! I'm so tired so I'm not going to post anything on Sunday. Check out the bottom of the left side of the site and you can click on today's gospel!

The rulers sneered at Jesus and said,"He saved others, let him save himselfif he is the chosen one, the Christ of God." Even the soldiers jeered at him. As they approached to offer him wine they called out,"If you are King of the Jews, save yourself." Above him there was an inscription that read,"This is the King of the Jews."Now one of the criminals hanging there reviled Jesus, saying,"Are you not the Christ?Save yourself and us." The other, however, rebuking him, said in reply,"Have you no fear of God,for you are subject to the same condemnation? And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal."Then he said,"Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."He replied to him,"Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

If you don't have a bible at home I recommend you get one! That way I can just give you the "coordinates" of the Gospel and you can find it in the bible! you can always use http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/ to find it!
