Saturday-Palm Sunday Reading

Hey! Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I was going to a baton competition. Just to let you guys know, Steph and I won first place! It was really exciting but well...nvm. Tomorrow's Palm Sunday and I'm reading at church tomorrow. I thought I would tell you guys what Palm Sunday is and then give you the reading I'm going to read tomorrow.

Palm Sunday: The Sunday before Easter and the sixth and last of Lent, and the beginning of Holy Week. On this day the Church commemorates Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, when olive and palm branches were strewn in his path. In the liturgy the memorial of this event is included in every Mass, with the procession or solemn entrance before the principal Mass, and with the simple procession before the other Masses on Palm Sunday.

This is tomorrow's reading:
The Lord GOD has given me a well-trained tongue, that I might know how to speak to the weary a word that will rouse them. Morning after morning he opens my ear that I may hear; and I have not rebelled, have not turned back. I gave my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; my face I did not sheild from buffets and spitting. The Lord GOD is my help, therefore I am not disgraced; I have set my face like flint, knowing that I shall not be put to shame.

That's the reading I'm reading tomorrow! So there you go!

Thursday-Capri

Hey! It's Thursday! I'm going out of town tomorrow until Saturday so I'm not going to post tomorrow, just to let you guys know! I might decide to post the Friday post on Saturday but I'm not sure yet!

Okay I hope you guys liked the very powerful video from Roni on Tuesday. Today, Steph sent me a song to use. It's called Capri by Colbie Caillat. I thought it was going to be a stupid song but then I listened to it and looked at the lyrics and it's a beautiful song.

There you go. Don't check back tomorrow cause there won't be another post here! :)

Wednesday- The Bible

Hey! It's Wednesday! Before I get to the good part of the post, I have some announcements to make.

1. I will NOT post the posts that I missed on Friday, Saturday, and Monday SO STOP ASKING (Becca and Steph)!

2. The contest for next Monday's post is next week and I promise it will be! You guys can enter by emailing your debate topics to whyilovejesusblog@yahoo.com Just to let you guys know, I neeeeeed Debate Topics!

3. If you guys stop sending in Debate topics, the monday posts will be boring. You guys have to do the work if you guys want debate topics!

Okay now the rest of the stuff! This is a passage from my Living Faith for Kids booklet.

If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32
If we are to be followers of Jesus, we need to learn how to remain in God's word. We need to know the story and words of jesus. That's why we have the Bible. It's our instruction book for living. But the Bible is a big, sometimes confusing book. Where do we start?
It's easiest to start with Jesus himself. Today, start reading any of the Gospels, the first four books of the New Testament. They tell the story of Jesus' life and contain everything you need to get started on your journey.
Jesus, let me learn about you today.

There you go! :)
