Today I decided I was just going to get caught up with all the stuff that you guys have wanted to know and stuff!
My answer to "What are your views on stem cell research?"
I need to say exactly what I feel so please don't stop reading in the middle of this cause there is more to it! I think that it's alright to do stem cell research on stem cells from embryos that have been donated by couples that have been artificially inseminated. Otherwise, I don't agree with stem cell research that kills embryos that don't have "parent" permission!
Okay, I've been really busy lately and I decided I'm going to answer last week's question as well. Last week's question was "Do you agree with gay marriage/homosexuality?"
I really don't think that men and men or women and women can be or should be together. When God made people, he made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. God would have made all women or all men if he really wanted us to be with the same gender. That would of been messed up because some of us wouldn't be here right now! Gays can't naturally reproduce and if we were meant to be gay, God would have made gays able to reproduce naturally. That's all I'm going to say!

Well, Zo. Are you saying gay people shouldn't be together or shouldn't get married. I think it's perfectly fine to love someone who is the same gender as you. But marriage is different.

No Zo! You were on the phone with me. Anyway, you really think it's wrong for a man and man or a woman and a woman to love eachother? They can't help it if they love eachother, it's not like it's your decision to love a person. "Going to far" is very vague. And people don't fall in love just to reproduce and make babies. People fall in love because they want to be with that person.
I honestly want to know what you would do in this situation: What if one of your friends or family members came out of the closet and announced their homosexuality? What would you do?

But you have a point: There is no way on earth that homosexuality is a choice. Why would someone choose to live a life that is frowned upon by much of the population? I think it's extremely difficult to come out of the closet and admit that you're gay- I don't think anyone would do it for the fun of it.

May I just say that first of all, SPAM tastes delicious! My pa grew up on that stuff during the depression.
Any way, on to the subject of homosexuality/gay marriage. First, gender is an illusion. Second, "Steph" (if that is your real name) Adam and Steve is the oldest (and lamest) come back in the book. People have been saying that one to me since back when I was in 4th grade (it wasn't a very tolerant school). Third, love is rare and if you really connect with a person it shouldn't matter how they are "equipped". I'll say it right now I'm gay. Now I'm not saying this because I "choose to live a life that is frowned upon by much of the population" and like flaunting "for the fun of it", I'm saying this because I have a little thing called pride, gay pride to be exact.
Zoe, I must ask you what exactly did you mean by "going to far"? is it, a.) that your a homophobic, b.) because you just disapprove with 35% of the world's population and their way of life or c.) because your still holding a grudge because we sorta made aids a phenomenon of death and contagion a few years back?

Hey I finally found your comment! Anyway, how could you be blamed for the AIDS epidemic? You didn't even live then, did you? And I think it would have become a problem with or without gays. Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't have such a great school. But that's what surprises me about people who think that people "choose" to be gay. Because gays face so much discrimination in this world, why would it be chosen? However, if you are gay, I think you SHOULD flaunt it. You sound like such a cool person! How long have you been out of the closet?
I know I wasn't alive but other gays are and there is this resiciulious myth that aids was first transmitted when a gay flightatendant some how slept with a monkey... It was weird and probibly not true but it is a fun story to tell so oh well.
Being gay isn't a choice, you are who you are. Its weather you can accnolage that your gay and be comfortale with it and have the courage to let the world know, that is the real choice.
