Wednesday-Israel

Here's another little section of the Living Faith for Kids booklet.

On another occasion he began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around him so that he got into a boat on the sea and sat down. And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land Mark 4:1

Have you seen pictures of Israel and the Holy Land? Much of it is rocky and barren, with hills and mountains rising up along the Sea of Galilee. Mark tells us that so many people had filled up the hillside and shores of the lake that Jesus got into a boat and sailed out so they could all see him. There were no guns and mortars going off like today. Everyone could hear Jesus clearly. This is what it was like to see God in the flesh amid the earth, sea and sky he had made. Imagine you are there. Picture Jesus. Listen to his words.

There you are!

I bet Isreal is really beautiful. I have a friend who might go there this summer. I told her to take a lot of pictures and email them all to me! It would have been cool to hear Jesus speak, even though I'm sure I belive he is what the bible says he is. I would like to hear the Dally Lama (i know that is spelled wrong but oh well) speak some day. It would be very uplifting.

I agree that the Dalai Lhama would be an extremely interesting person to meet. Especially since it would be nice to hear about his religion, but also because he is a simply peace seaking man, even if I believe different things than him, we can all relate on one thing: peace. =]

Oh and Roni, you said you were jewish, right? Cuz some people from my hebrew school said that if you are and you go to college, then there's like this program and you can go to israel with a bunch of other jewish people between the ages of 18 and 25!! I'm not sure on the details though, but doesn't that sound awesome!?

Yah I am! My Brother is like 22 so he and I and my other sister are going with him. We have lots of different friends there. I want to mostly spend time in Tel Aviv. Maybe we are also going to Haifa and Jerusalem and possibly Eilat. I want to take some pics of the dead sea I think that would be cool. It took forever to persuade my dad but were going!
