Monday-Sex Before Marriage

Hey! It's Monday and Memorial day! Thanks to all those veterans out there! Here's the debate topic:

Do you believe that sex before marriage is right or not?

I know that it is a huge deal with the church and everything, but I don't see a problem with it, really. If you're responsible and mature, and understand what could happen (pregnancy, STDs, etc.), then I think that its okay. People shouldn't feel pressured to have sex, and should make a personal decision as to when they should have sex. I, personally, don't think that waiting for marriage simply because it's a church rule, is a good reason. But, if someone feels that way because its their religion, then its okay for them. I don't think that teenagers should have sex in high school, because I don't know a single high schooler that is mature or responsible enough to have sex.

Sex is a personal decision. It's a decision that I think should be made by the person concerned in it. Anyway, when we're talking about sex before marriage, most people think high schoolers and kids in college. But there are people in their thirties and fourties who aren't married, but may date. I don't think it's reasonable to expect them not to have sex

I think that the appropriate age for sex is 17-18. If you trust a person and you except the consiquenses, then I think it is ok.
