Hey! I have some new debate topics from anonymous. So here's one of em.
Should we allow cloning? What about cloning makes people question it?

I think we should allow therapudic cloning, but not cloning dead organizums. If you died, how would you like to be replaced by a clone? And what will we get out of cloning a dinosaur? We will never know if the clone is accurate?
I think the idea of cloning dinosaurs is actually really cool, but I don't think I agree with cloning humans. I mean, clones have a really short life span, don't they? so what's the point of bringing a human to life that will probably only live for a year tops? It's not fair. Also, how on earth could you blend into society if you're a clone? "Hi. I'm a clone. How are you?" See, it just doesn't work out.
Plus, watch a science fiction movie, and the answer will become clear. :D they'll take over!!
Cloning anything sounds like a bad idea. Have you ever seen The Island? People cloned living humans so that when the real people got sick and needed a new organ or something, they killed their clone to get the new perfect organ match. It's entirely realistic if we develop cloning that much. What are the positives of cloning, except meddling in things we shouldn't meddle in?
Cloning has too many drawbacks to be a good thing. If clones survive birth they are faced with a very short life span. Usually clones suffer from LOS (large offspring syndrome) and early arthritis. I think cloning humans and pets, let alone any animal is a very bad idea. First of all if you are trying to replace a dead loved one by cloning (family, pets, friends ect.) they may grow up to look like them (if they don't die first), but their personalities will be completely different. The reasons for this are because one, cloning doesn't clone minds it clones physical features; two the clone will grow up in a completely different environment therefore their personalities will be very different personalities. Between that and the fact that they don't live long and develop disorders, I really don't think it's worth it.
At the moment, the whole cloning thing seems somewhat... unintelligent. I mean, when it comes to cloning people, with the population crisis and all, don't you think we shouldn't? Maybe cloning animals, so there would be more food for people to eat. Clones would probably get discriminated against as well. I mean, if people have such a hard time handling homosexual and people of a different race how are they going to handle a COPY of someone? And all these movie references are somewhat pointless because that is only someone's guess as to what would happen if we had clones.

Why would a clone only live for a little while?
